Rooted in Plainview

Ice Cream Mel started as a weekend passion — a small cart outside a local market, a hand-cranked machine, and a conviction that gelato should taste like something worth slowing down for.

Over the years, that cart became a counter, the counter became a storefront on Virginia Avenue, and the passion became a habit that the neighborhood leans on. We still make every batch ourselves. We still change the menu every week. We still believe that the best moments are the ones shared over something sweet.
